Taking Responsibility and Naming Mistakes in DEI Work
Come together to unlearn, dismantle, and heal from systems of domination while being part of the rebuilding of communities that support people in their full humanity. By growing our capacity for relationships, we are better able to accomplish what we want, be it professional goals, family dynamics, or resisting fascism.
This series is open for everyone. People who are newer to these conversations will be exposed to new skills and concepts. For people who are further along in their identity development and anti-oppression analysis, the workshop will strengthen and fortify their commitments. All participants will have opportunities to put the information into practice.
Each workshop will include education, introspection, and interaction and will lead to new ways to perceive and be in the world. For those who cannot stay for the full program, there will be a brief break after 75 minutes for them to leave. The final 30 minutes will be for deeper practice, interaction, and discussion. There will be optional resources shared as homework.

Philosophy and Approach:
There were systems deliberately put in place when Europeans arrived on this continent that created disparities to benefit the wealthiest among us. Over the following 400 years, these systems have changed but the underlying harms and benefits remain. We believe that because these systems were created, they can also be undone, and we can create new ones. To create the possibility for liberation, we must work together, from a place of love for our communities, with skill and attention. We must come to understand that systems of domination harm everyone (in different ways). We support people to develop community, motivation, and tools to keep working Toward Liberation.
